It is a common belief that marriages are made in heaven which we solemnize during our existence; however there is a stark difference between dreams and reality. Star Pravah brought alive this thought through its show Devyani that launched on March nineteenth. The show is growing by leaps and bounds and there has been no looking back for it. With the TRP’s raising high on the charts, the show has created a niche for itself and has become one of the most popular shows amongst the Marathi genre. Devyani is the story of a young girl who witnesses a huge change as she enters the wedlock with her obsessive and uncouth lover Sangram. While Devyani is a simple girl who believes in her father’s principles, Sangram is a complete opposite who never follows rules in his life and is his own master. Shivani Surve and Sangram have been loved and appreciated in the lead roles and the versatile actor Nagesh Bhonsle made his come back to Marathi GEC space with Devyani. Yogesh Manwani, VP Marketing says, “Star Pravah’s constant efforts have been to depict various shades of human relationships in a different light and with Devyani, we touch upon the unbreakable bond of marriage.” While Shrabani Deodhar, Head of Programming, Star Pravah, says, “Devyani is a simple story of a girl whose life undergoes a huge transformation once she gets married. We are happy that the audiences connected with Devyani and have supported the show with their utmost loyalty. It’s a very simple yet very inspiring story as she is determined to overcome all her difficulties.” The show is produced by Anuj Saxena’s Maverick Productions in association with Swapna Waghmare Joshi and Sanjay Memane.

After a successful stint in the South, Anuj Saxena now entered the Marathi GEC Space with Devyani and has certainly tasted success once again.
