Bollywood's most successful performers in recent years - Shalmali Kholgade rocked the audience with hits from her career including Pareshan, Daru Desi, Suddh Desi Romance and ofcourse Balam Pichkari which had the crowd roaring for an encore at the  Powai Fest 2014, organised by the Rotary Club of Mumbai, Powai and the Hiranandani Group of Companies. 

It was a three day festival that had many brilliant events which have seen the footfall increase not only from the local community but across Mumbai. 

Mr. Joseph Reddy, of the Hiranandani Group of Companies said "We are very excited to have Shalmalli here because she is a local Powai girl and an inspiration for so many in our community.We couldn't have a better choice for our star performer in the first edition of the Powai Fest." 

Added Mr. Govilkar, "Powai is proud of Shalmili, and she is proud of being from Powai. This festival raises funds and awareness for all the great projects of the Rotary and we are so happy to have her here performing with us and drawing such a large crowd that had a fantastic time while supporting a great effort." 

The festival ended on Sunday the 12th with many exciting activities including a talk and theatre workshop by eminent theatre personality Bharat Dhabolkar.
