Renowned director Ravindra Gautam who has directed shows like Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Pavitra Rishta, Bade Achhe Lagte Hai, Uttaran on TV has ventured into films direction with Ekees Topon Ki  which stars Anupam Kher, Manu Rishi, Neha Dhupia, Aditi Sharma, Divyendu Sharma. Ravindra says,"When I came to Mumbai I did a lot of editing job. After that when I started working with Ekta Kapoor I did a show called Kasuti Zindagi Ki and she really liked my work and that was indeed a highlight of my career. And then my next turning point was Uttaran I got lot of popularity and recognition while directing the show." When Ravindra was directing Madhubala that point of time he got in touch with Abhinav Shukla who was producer of the show and now producing Ekees Topon Ki Salami. The offer came from Abhinav and Ravindra accepted the offer. When talking about the difference between films and tv Ravindra adds,"There are lot of differences in TV show direction and film direction. TV direction is just to shoot what is decided nothing more or less but film direction includes music, narration to scripting. In Film direction the director is the caption of the ship. For me TV shows direction is like a newspaper which we read everyday morning and forget but film direction is like a novel you buy and it still remains in your bookshelf." On being asked what has been the response to the film he says, "The feedback has been very encouraging. People are loving the film"
