Yes, it’s February, spring is slowly approaching & love is certainly in the air (waves), again. It all started bit early this year, around end-January, when we got bombarded with a non-stop, almost 72 hour long televised parade of the bonhomie between our dear PM Modi and President Obama, more than the actual Republic Day Parade that he was here to attend. This was followed by election rallies whereby simulated love was showered on us by contestants partaking in the Delhi Elections. Some enthusiastically waving & sending flying kisses our way from truck tops whereas they’d actually rather be out someplace else, eating sushi! Others are shown rambling around promising to deliver us from evil & promising love till kingdom come because they believe that they & us are just many hearts beating in one body. Yet others are there, shouting themselves hoarse making promises that’ll change our lives, which only the good Lord knows if they will deliver on… and that is likely to be the situation till a few days post election results being declared, as in till all the way up to Saint Valentine’s Day… It’s a different kind of celebration of love, let’s watch & enjoy!
 
Other than that it’s been pretty much routine stuff in telly-land. Yes, new fake fights and arguments have emerged and from what I understand they are the trend, of sorts… For those of you who saw it, I’m sure you’ll agree with me when I say that BCL (Box Cricket League) on Sony featuring stars from across the TV industry was one such development. On the other hand, the similar CCL (Celebrity Cricket League) on Colors, jam-packed with stars from the Film Industry, though parallel was played within all the rules and regulations of the game making it definitely a more entertaining watch.
 
Another new development was that the ZEE group announced the launch of its latest Hindi general entertainment channel. They christened it ‘&TV’. They have an interesting line up of programs scheduled for the channel. I would definitely recommend some diverting of eyeballs in that direction for a bit.
 
Before I sign off, I must caution the creators of Bigg Boss … Phony hostilities, annoying quarrels, exasperating love affairs and irritating love triangles on Bigg Boss Season 8…not fair..!! We were all so glued on till now..!!!!!!  And, you’ve extended the season, with a new “Boss”??
