It’s been a sluggish month in telly-land, I guess this scorching, muggy weather does make all lethargic - except, of course, the enthusiastic saas’, bahus, devranis, jethanis, mummies and bet isin our daily soaps, who after so many years and post much criticism, still manage to go to sleep and awake like blushing brides, in full make up and in all their fineries!

The IPL T-20 championship 2015 which started in the beginning of April and is on till almost the end of May has certainly brought about a dose of excitement, breaking the everyday monotonous TV watching routine. My favourite Mumbai Indians aren’t faring too great as of now but I’m confident they will catch up. It’s entertaining to see Sachin, SRK, Preity, Shilpa and gang back in the stadium stands cheering on their teams. Hopefully no rumpus will be created for, by, with any of them this year and all will be fun and games as intended.

Politics is still a dirty word and is still a dirty game. Not so good news continues to be the AAP and it’s now totally filthy, stinky laundry being aired in our faces. I’m sorry, I was a fan of Kejriwal but I am so disillusioned with him, his egotistical behaviour and his politics now. It’s too much drama… too much useless nautanki with zero focus on delivering mature governance & development. He coming across as insincere, he no longer gives me a comfortable feeling and I’m no longer sure he’s what we needed to clean up the game.

On the other hand, good news is that thankfully Rahul baba has returned from his chappan (56) day ki chuthi (holiday) with what seems like a chappan inch ki chathi (chest)… He’s certainly talking like it. It would be wonderful if he’s actually managed to turn a new, bold leaf but judging from past experience we can only hope this rejuvenated phase lasts at least as long as till his next vacation.

Away from the airwaves, a lot has happened on our “Beti” front. As you will see in the pages that follow, our NGO has been working overtime to comfort & support those who earnestly need our assistance. Further, we got hugely rewarded for our efforts recently when the marvellous news was delivered to us, when an acid attack survivor Sonali Mukherjee who we had been helping the past few years, informed us that she had recently got married to Chittaranjan Tewary. Many blessings to her and all in similar positions as her… May they all unearth an abundance of happiness and live blissfully ever after.

On that sacred note, I bid you bye-bye for now. Until next time,

happy reading!
