Dalbir Kaur is a big admirer of Yash Patnaik's Veera!

Now, it’s not every day that a persona like Dalbir Kaur requests you to visit your set. The cast and crew of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera along with its producer Yash Patnaik are on cloud nine to have Dalbir Kaur and her family as their guests. When asked producer Yash Patnaik how does it feel to know that Dalbir Kaur and her family are fans of Veera, he says, “I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Dalbirji, the elder sister of Sarabjit Singh. She got my number through a writer friend Rajesh Beri who is writing the film on Sarabjit Singh to be directed by Omung Kumar. She wanted to meet me and Mamta and the entire cast of Veera. She met us at the office in the morning and went on talking about the show. She and her family have been following Veera from the first episode that is 29th of October 2012. She told us how our show used to remind her about her brother Sarabjit who was in Pakistan jail at that time. Dalbirji told us how she, her family and neighbours watch Veera and its repeats. She kept on mentioning sequence from initial days till date. Apart from the story and characters they love the way we have made the show - the authenticity, detailing and simplicity.”

He continues, “Dalbir ji and Sarabjit's daughter Poonam wanted to meet the earlier cast as well so we had called Bhavesh and Harshita also on the sets. It became like a small get-together for both old and new cast. And to make this day special for them, the entire cast and crew will spend the day with both of them followed by a cake cutting in memory of Sarabjit Singhji.”
