Priyanka Chopra with father Dr Ashok Chopra

Priyanka Chopra's father, Dr Ashok Chopra, passed away today at a hospital in suburban Andheri here after a prolonged battle with cancer.

The actress' father died at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital a short while ago

Dr. Chopra, a physician in the Indian Army, had been critically ill the last few days. The cancer that struck the doctor a few years ago has returned.
