He drives criminals away when he roars like a lion and fights like a tiger! But now the macho man of Bollywood is all set to don a new avatar. Sunny Deol set to host an episodic of Life OK’s crime docu drama, Savdhaan India – India Fights Back. He will be seen promoting his film Singh Saab The Great on the show.
The episode narrates the story of the fight back of Navjot Kaur against her in laws. The story revolves around Navjot Kaur who gets married to the eldest son of Balbir Kaur, the most respectable family in her city. She enters the Kaur family with a lot of hope which soon fizzles out once she witnesses all the atrocities faced by her sister – in – law, Amrit. Amrit Kaur, who has fallen prey to social evils like dowry is silenced to death once she decides to raise her voice against these crimes. Taken aback by the insensitivity and cruelty against Amrit, Navjot decides to take up the cause and stand up for the right.
Sunny Deol says, “I have always been associated with action and crime movies, however this time I will be hosting a crime show on television. This is my first stint as a television host and I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am glad I got an opportunity to anchor a crime show like Savdhaan India and I hope I am able to contribute to the betterment of the society through this show.”
