National – Adding to the Mahisagar masti, fresh face Amish Tanna, will be joining the Mehta family this Friday, 3rd January 2014.

According to the track, Amish Tanna is a traditional Kathiawadi hailing from Kathiawad and will form a principal character in the household. Entering as the domestic help, Amish Tanna will cause confusion amongst the lead cast leading to comic misunderstandings.

“My character is overly dramatic to a fault.  He adds an over-the-top Kathiawadi flair to everything he does. Unlike normal servants, my character doesn’t take orders very well and is constantly interfering in the family’s arguments. ” said Amish Tanna essaying the role of Kanhaiyalal.

A light-hearted relationship drama, Mahisagar revolves around the life of Mahi, a sweet, carefree small-town girl who is pitted against her politically distinguished mother-in-law, Anusuya Mehta, when she falls for Ansuya’s son Sagar. What follows is an entertaining and light hearted drama of the heart v/s the brain.
