The 22nd edition of the annual Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival was held across six cities in India from the 27th of December to the 9th of January.The tour featured Dr. L. Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, Hubert Laws, Oystein Baadsvik and SubraMania (Bindu and Ambi Subramaniam).

Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, who has always been a favorite of Indian audiences peppered her set with reminiscences and dedicated songs to the late Manna Dey and Farooq Sheikh. The highlight of the show was undoubtedly Dr. L. Subramaniam whose new compositions and collaborations with the other artists was both dramatic and spellbinding.  The finale, "Chasing the Field", a new composition by Dr. Subramaniam featuring all the other artists brought every audience to it's feet for a rousing standing ovation.

The festival was presented to packed venues around the country with 35,000 people at Alleppey beach and music lovers sitting in the aisles, on the floor and in stairwells in New Delhi and Bangalore.
