Roshni Chopra

Starting off her career with the character of Pia in Kasamh Se on Zee TV, Roshni Chopra is one who needs no introduction. She is definitely one of the hottest actress of the small screen and has maintained her svelte figure. Having one of the most sizzling and fittest bodies in the industry, GR8! Talks to this sexy actress-cum-host about her take on Fitness…

For me, fitness is…

Fitness is about the body, mind and soul. So for me it is a regime to be adapted to keep oneself fit not only physically but mentally as well.

I begin my day…

With a glass of hot water and couple of almonds.

My daily diet…

I don’t have a fixed diet. I eat out of necessity and make sure that I am relishing every bit of it. So as I said, I begin my day with a glass of hot water and almonds, then after an hour I have a cup of cold coffee. After an hour I have my breakfast which comprises of some egg whites and toasts. So yes, I do believe in spacing out my meals! For lunch I am usually not at home. I am a vegetarian, so I arrange for either some salad or lentil soup; that is something nutritious along with some rotis. In the evening time instead of tea I have some coffee, most probably a cup of cappuccino with hazel nuts minus the sugar. After an hour I again have a couple of digestive biscuits. I prefer keeping my dinner light, so I have some paneer or tofu or stir fried vegetables making sure I have minimal carbohydrates for dinner. Although this whole diet is like the ‘ideal’ day diet which is just not possible to follow every day!

Given a chance, I would binge on...

Cupcakes!

My workout regime…

I have never hit the gym and tried out weight training; as I find it unnatural to sweat it out in an air-conditioned gym. According to me, yoga is very scientific in its approach and so I follow that. I try my best to do yoga at least three to four times a week, and the best part is that, it not only helps you keep fit physically but also mentally.

How would you rate yourself on a fitness scale of 10?

Off late I have become very conscious of my fitness regime as I want to look super fit. So fitness is definitely at the top of my priority list and I would rate myself an 8, it can get better.

Fittest celebrities…

That’s a tough one! I think among the girls, Gauhar Khan has a great body. And as far as the guys are concerned, it would be Hussain Kuwajerwala.

Your secret fitness tips?

You can’t have a great body if you do not have a healthy mind! I really follow the secret of first cleansing the mind and then looking after the body.

A common fitness myth…

A common fitness myth according to me would be that one needs diet to lose weight. Dieting is very temporary. To be fit one needs to be constantly conscious about what their eating and has to be very ethical in it.

My happiness quotient…

Being around people I love, spreading happiness, feeling positive, travelling, shopping and working on something I believe in.

My idea of relaxation…

Just being with myself! I usually have very active days so for me relaxation is being able to breathe and appreciate where I am while being in the moment.
