It has become recurrent trend for Bollywood films to take inspiration from Hollywood. What’s next is Tellywood taking inspiration from eternal Bollywood characters. Inspired by Alia Bhatt’s character from the movie ‘Student of the Year’ is the character of Heli Daruwalla who essays the role of Kirti in Star Plus’ new show Nisha aur uske Cousins.

What draws the inspiration is the similarity between both the characters. Just like Alia's character in the movie, Kirti too is diva like and a charmer who uses her beauty and looks to her advantage. She believes in love and romance and is still waiting for her Mr. Right. “I love the idea of being in love and I am still waiting for my Mr. Right but in the journey of finding the right guy if I stumble across few wrong one’s then there is nothing wrong. That won’t discourage me in finding Mr. Right”, said Heli. She also added, "When I read about the character ‘Kirti’, the first thing that came to my mind was Alia from the movie 'Student of the Year' because I had seen the movie very recently and her role of an attention seeker and a diva was fresh in my mind".
