Pet Friendly Diwali!

Diwali is a festival of lights, a festival to meet and greet your loved ones and more... but when it comes to loved ones, how can we forget the most loved and pampered members of our families. Yes, we are talking about the pets whom we love more than anything and take care of them just like we care about kids. GR8! asks few of the TV actors talk about their Pet Friendly Diwali, here is what they have to say...

Rashami Desai: My pet dog’s name is Oreo and he is just seven months old. During Diwali there will be a lot of noise so I will keep him away from the noise of the crackers. I and my mother will be extra careful about him. I will put cotton headphones on his ears so he doesn’t get affected much by the loud noises around. I will take him out for a nice haircut at the pet saloon and in the day he can roam with me in my car. I just want to see him happy and playful.

Tina Dutta: I have two dogs. One is - Bruno, a golden retriever who is five months old. He is my naughty brat my favourite time pass and I am his mom. The other one is Black Rani who is a two years old Labrador. I am planning to arrange special dog food from a special dog shop. I would keep them in a safe place in the house and I won’t be taking them out. My house is on a higher floor so luckily noise pollution won’t be there. There will be guests at home but I will ensure we don’t talk too loudly. I will make my dogs sleep early on Diwali.

Ravi Dubey: My dog is Moyo, a Cavapoo and he is three and half years old. Me and Sargun are very much connected and involved with our pet. My dog has become very dear to me and he is very much important to me as my family. I am always looking at most comfortable environment for him as I would look for my own child or my own part of my family. I will make extremely sure that this Diwali my family celebrates pet friendly Diwali and I don't burn crackers so that there is no sound pollution.

Ssharad Malhotra: I have a four year old pug and his name is Masakali and pet name Musky. I might leave him at my friends place for a sleepover as I am very busy with my shoot. I will take him to the beach for playing a day before Diwali and pamper him with his favourite dog food. I would buy new ear headphones to save him from the effect of noise pollution. I am aware that dogs gets really scared with cracker’s noise and cry. I can’t see any tears in his eyes, so I will have a no crackers Diwali.

Sambhavna Seth: I have three pets two Lhasa and their names are Coco he is nine years old and other is Cherry she is five years old and the third one is Chihuahua, her name is Candy and she is just one year old. I can't live without them as they are my life to me. This Diwali I am planning to have a noise free celebration. I have seen every year how the animals are scared due to the loud noises. They cannot express their feelings as we do, but as a human being we have to be responsible towards them. I am mother of my three puppies so I will see to it that no noise harms them. I am thinking of spending the whole day with them as they feel secured with me.
