Special 26 to pull a heist in South India!
Continuing the trend of successful associations that started with Queen earlier this year, Viacom18 Motion Pictures sells the rights for the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam remakes of the 2013 blockbuster hit ‘Special 26’ to the veteran actor, producer and director - Thiagarajan.
On the development, Ajit Andhare, COO - Viacom18 Motion Pictures commented, “Special 26 is an intelligent entertainer. The film is based on true events which makes it universally appealing across languages. We’re confident that our film will excite audiences in the South the same way that the original material did.” While Actor/Director and Producer Thiagarajan from Star Movies said “This time, I grabbed the golden opportunity of remaking Special26 in all four south Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada) and I will have the honour of directing this mammoth movie in all four South Indian languages that has won accolades, acclaim and awards.
