Wagh Bakri Tea Group announced its association with Abhishek Sharma’s upcoming Bollywood film ‘The Shaunkeens’. The company has stepped forward with their brand promotion campaign through a strategic tie-up to promote its flagship brand Wagh Bakri Tea. The movie features Akshay Kumar, Lisa Haydon, Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher & Piyush Mishra and is scheduled to release on 7th November, 2014 globally.


Speaking on the strategic tie-up Shri Parag Desai, Executive Director said, “Our association with the Shaukeen shall further consolidate our leading position in our export market globally. It reconfirms tea as a catalyst bringing people together & maintains harmony. We wish all the best to the movie.” To announce the association, the lead actress of the movie Lisa Haydon was present and said, “Wagh Bakri Tea is gaining popularity world over as marketers of quality teas. I am a regular user Wagh Bakri Green tea and Darjeeling tea. I do not forget to carry its Instant tea whenever I travel for outdoor shoot. The handsome Sahir (Harshad Chopda) plays an intense and successful business tycoon in Sony’s Humsafars where he portrays a doting brother to Casanova Zaki (Sehban Azim) almost always turning a blind eye to all his antics. However, off-screen these two are quite a riot when they are not shooting. This is one brotherhood which has blossomed well into a great friendship.


Speaking about their friendship Sehban said, “Harshad plays my serious elder brother in the show but in reality he is a great fun to be with. Quite unlike his on-screen character, Harshad is the most fun loving person on the sets. We do a lot of masti when we are not shooting.
