Box Cricket League starts with a bang on Sony Entertainment Television

Think cricket and the only thing that comes to your mind is two teams seriously battling it out to the finish. OR Cricket is often addressed as a gentleman’s game! But what happens when you exchange the players with television celebrities. What you get is a full of drama coupled with tears, gossip and yes… a little bit of the game of course!! India’s first sports reality show, Box Cricket League promises to be the baap of all reality shows where not 10..not 20…but over 200 of television’s biggest actors and actresses will get down and dirty on the field to win the coveted trophy.

The opening ceremony will see the stunning small screen Jodha Akbar, Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma as they give a romantic performance that is sure leave to leave the viewers mesmerized. Adding to the glamour and entertainment, all the eight teams put their best foot forward and left no stone unturned to give high energy performances to mark the beginning of some great cricketainment. Each team’s performance to their team anthem was abounding with energy, shouts of glory and of course a high dose of glamour.

Joining these actors in their fun were the Action Jackson stars Sonakshi Sinha and Prabhudeva who made a grand appearance in between the performances and shook a leg to the popular song ‘Keeda’ from their movie. The two stars opened BCL with a friendly match between the girls and the boys.

Though they are great friends off the ground, all the actors meant business once they were on field. All set to play, it was time for the toss with a twist, Bollywood Toss, where the girls desperately wanted to bowl first. Unfortunately, they lost the toss and were left at the boys’ mercy. After much deliberation the boys decided to let the girls have their way and bowl first. After much drama and a little bit of help from the boys the girls emerged victorious!

Box Cricket League starts on 14 December and every Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television
