Gautam Gulati beats the odds to walk away as the winner of Bigg Boss – Halla Bol

They laughed; they cried; they fought; they loved. They truly lived through a remarkable journey that started off as Bigg Boss Season 8 and soon evolved into Bigg Boss Halla Bol. Today, after an emotion-filled stay in the Bigg Boss house, Gautam Gulati emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss Halla Bol. Be it his fellow contestants, wildcard contestants or even the erstwhile challengers, none were good enough to weaken Gautam’s foothold either in the Bigg Boss house or in the minds of viewers. As the competition got fiercer, his attitude towards the game eventually reigned supreme as even the toughest tasks and the roughest situations did not weaken his grit and determination. An overwhelmed Gautam was welcomed with open arms by his friends and family members as host Farah Khan handed him the coveted Bigg Boss trophy along with the prize money of Rs.50 lakh. Karishma Tanna came in as the first runner-up for the show followed by Pritam Singh as the second runner-up.

Entering the show as an underdog, Gautam had been on the receiving end of the wrath of many of his fellow contestants. Be it his dance moves, his six-pack abs or his incredible ability to annoy people with the smallest antics, Gautam has showcased multiple nuances of his personality which have engaged and entertained viewers consistently. While some called it mental torture, there were others who labelled it as pure and unadulterated entertainment and enjoyed every bit. He found his closest friends in the renowned P3G group (Puneet Issar, Pritam Singh and Praneet Bhat).  While he had his camaraderie, Gautam’s personality also pulled at the heartstrings of Sonali Raut and Diandra Soares. Enduring the pain and tears, Gautam marched on without fear and rising from the ashes just like the phoenix, and leaving a lasting impression on the minds of every single viewer of the show which made him the undisputed winner!

Pleasantly surprised at being declared as the winner of the eighth edition of Bigg Boss, an elated Gautam said, “I cannot believe that I have won! It has been an exceptional journey with plenty of ups and downs but it is an experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am greatly indebted to my family, friends and fans who have supported me throughout my journey on Bigg Boss, and cannot thank them enough. Emerging victorious is like a dream come true and I am now ready for the next phase of my career.”

Speaking about the Grand Finale of Bigg Boss Halla Bol, Manisha Sharma, Programming Head – COLORS, said, “This year, we have raised the bar of entertainment and excitement first through Bigg Boss Season 8  with Salman Khan and then with the twist of Bigg Boss Halla Bol to create a truly unparalleled journey for contestants and viewers alike. Be it the exciting wildcard entries, the introduction of challengers or the tasks which brought out the best and worst in all the contestants, this season of Bigg Boss has seen it all. The added bonus of a successful season has only made the experience enriching. Ending this season on a high note with Farah Khan and the inclusion of our celebrity guests, we are now geared with great fervor to make the next season of the show even more entertaining and memorable.”

Deepak Dhar, Managing Director – Endemol India Pvt. Ltd said, “With every season of Bigg Boss, we set out to introduce more zest and vigor to ensure that the show continues to be a gripping watch for viewers across the country. Our teams have worked tirelessly to present engaging content through varied tasks and activities which have struck a chord with the viewers. This season is among the most talked about seasons and we are delighted by the response it has received across the board from all our stakeholders.”

The Grand Finale of Bigg Boss – Halla Bol brought together a mix of style and eye-catching entertainment. The finalists received personalized makeovers from celebrity stylist Hakim Alim which saw Gautam, Pritam, Dimpy and Karishma getting some personalized haircuts and Ali getting a funky tattoo on his head that matched his true personality while inside the house. The contestants further came together for a glamorous performance with the diva, Malaika Arora Khan inside the Bigg Boss house. Joining the finalists was Bigg Boss aficionado Sonakshi Sinha who put the contestants in the line of fire as she questioned them about the stories that had been doing the rounds all season. Adding the tadka of action to all the entertainment was Khatron Ke Khiladi’s Stunt Architect Rohit Shetty who came crashing into Bigg Boss house through a glass wall while taking the finalists back to the outside world. But this did not end the contestants’ turmoil. The real drama unfolded when the kingpin of interrogation, Rajat Sharma put them in his famous kachehri and cross-examined them about the allegations and accusations that the contestants have faced while inside the house giving them one final opportunity to settle old scores and disputes. Throwing in the last twist, Bigg Boss offered the three finalists an opportunity to grab the additional prize money of Rs 25 Lakh, where Pritam Singh seized the moment and quit the race in the last hour. As the evening dwindled to a close, host Farah Khan brought the finalists, Karishma Tanna and Gautam Gulati together one last time before declaring Gautam as the winner!

As Gautam was announced as the winner of the Bigg Boss Halla Bol, ex-contestants from the show Upen Patel, Puneet Issar, Diandra Soares, Sonali Raut, Praneet Bhatt and the challengers Ajaz Khan, Rahul Mahajan, Sambhavna Seth, Mahek Chahal and Sana Khan joined in to partake in the festivities.
