Hottest TV personality is Prannoy Roy - Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza
Dia Mirza

She symbolizes pristine beauty and a look at her freshens up your mind. Her unconventional, girl next door looks add to her vivacious, down to earth personality. Yes, it’s the gorgeous Dia Mirza, who made her Bollywood debut with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein and certainly there has been no looking back for this pretty lass thereafter. She speaks her mind out in this chat with GR8! Read on…

You have been on various reality shows, so how do you feel being on TV?

I think being on reality shows gives the audience an opportunity to meet the real person. People get a glimpse of the ‘Real You’ behind the actor. It’s also a medium which gets you closer to the audience faster.

A lot of Bollywood actors are seen on TV, if given a chance will you like to feature on TV?

I have been offered several shows including the opportunity to judge reality shows, etc, but I haven’t taken up these offers just because I believe I have a lot to achieve in my field of work. But even if I do a reality show, it will have to be in sync with my personality.

What will you like to do, judge, participate, or host a show?

Well, I would like to either host or judge a reality show.

How is TV different from Bollywood?

The reach of Television is far wider than films. Films don’t always cater to a mass audience and I think TV eventually does as TV is more personal.

If you get a good script, will you be comfortable doing a TV serial?

I really don’t think I would.

The hottest TV personality according to you is…

Pranab Roy – the man who changed the face of Indian news.

The most adorable Bollywood Star on TV?

Abhishek Bachchan, undoubtedly.

As a kid the shows that you never missed were…

Jungle book, Potli baba ki, Malgudi days & Surabhi.

If you could change one thing on Indian TV, what would it be?

I just think the kind of make-up, props, etc. used in TV serials are a bit overdone, that is not the reality. And what is scarier is that women now-a-days have started dressing up like the women dress-up in these TV serials. It needs to be mellowed down a bit.

In one word, Indian Television is…

GR8!!!!.
