Karan Singh Grover talks about Qubool Hai...

Why Qubool Hai?
It’s very different from what I have done till date. I feel the audience wants a show revolving around a Muslim family because we don’t have such a show on TV at the moment. I play a very serious guy, who doesn’t smile and has been through a lot in life. He has never had a male figure to look up to, so he became the man of the house before time. He is a big sadu and very heavy character. It is very difficult to play the part. I have to try my best to look subtle and subdued and in the process, I start smiling. He speaks chaste Urdu and I don’t understand a word in it. He is a very religious person.

How religious are you in real life?
I am not religious but I do pray every night before going to sleep. I personally do not believe in any religion.

What was Jennifer's reaction on taking up this show?
When Jenny knew about my character in the show, she was quite nervous as I don't even speak Hindi very well so how will I speak Urdu. But she always supported me and wished me all the best for my show.

Your fans want to see you and Jennifer together on screen.
I also want that to happen. I don’t like leaving her back to report to the sets. Earlier, I used to be so excited about going to the sets because I would meet her. Now, it’s very difficult because we go to different locations to shoot. We have tried our best to be cast together, but they all know that we are married.
