Actor Shravan Reddy who plays Neil in Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s Dosti... Yariyaan... Manmarziyan  is all set to sing a song in the show.  He says, “My show director always keeps singing and that is things which made me agree to sing when my character needed to sing for Samaira (Kashmira Irani)  to cheer her up. I sang for her is from movie Guide Musaafir Kaha Jaoge Tum.  I am not a trained singer but I wasn’t scared to try. I practiced for half an hour before actual recording.  I have already recorded the song. I have sung more than a paragraph 8 to10 lines and the feedback has been good from whosoever heard the song. I saw Devanand’s song video as well for reference. Personally I like Sufi songs of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and  Khailash Kher”.  Kashmira Irani also sang the same song but recording was done separately.
With this, we can say that the trend of TV actors singing seems to be catching up.
