Life post marriage has changed a lot: Nigaar Khan

The Khan Sisters have always been in the list of ‘intriguing personalities’we have in tinsel town. Be it for their sisterly bond, looks, style statement or performances, they definitely know how to add an element of Swag to everything they do. And recently I got a chance to indulge myself in a candid conversation with the elder Khan – Yes; I am talking about none other than Nigaar Khan.

Recollecting my maiden thoughts about her, I always remembered her as someone who is mostly coveted for her sultry and appealing looks.A fitness freak, gratified with what she has achieved in life, Nigaar has never controlled her career path. And last year, she tied the knot with her long time beau Khayyam Sheikh. From India to Abu Dhabi, life has definitely transmuted for her.

And after around 1.5 years, she is back to her abodewith Sony SAB TV popular fiction show ‘Baal Veer’ where she plays the role of a super witch and yes mind you – her look in the show is unlike all witches who are still dolled up. Quite terrorizing and daunting, but that is what motivated Nigaar to say a YES!

And in our friendly dialogue jam-packed with Candour, Mirth and Casual Banters, Nigaar uncurtains 6 things about her which not many people are cognizant of.

1. On her dreams, goals and ambitions
She believes in taking one step at a time. Content, serene yet fervent, Nigaar says, ‘Trust me; I have never been ambitious in my life. Neither have I planned things. I am quite satisfied with what I achieved,’ replies this gorgeous actress.

2. On acting
‘I am fortunate enough to play roles of various shades. But the characters Rajbala in Mitwa and Madhurima in Main Naa Bhoolungi are very near to me. And yes, this character of super witch is also very unique. I have never done an imaginary show which has a lot of 3D and graphic effects. So even though this role was alien to me, I am still enjoying it.’

3. Life post marriage
All excited, she yells, ‘I would be lying if I was saying life has not changed. A different country, but more than that…there is one thing which has changed drastically. I never used to cook before, maybe once a year. But now, I take pride in myself as I cook daily for my husband.’

4. Juggling work and personal life
‘It’s easy. I am here shooting for 10 days, and remaining 20 days I am spending time with my hubby dearest. I would like to add that the channel and the production house have been very supportive,’ she replies with a beam on her face.

5. Soul mate Connection!
On being asked to pick up one word to describe her chemistry with her hubby, not losing time she answers, ‘Soulmate. We are meant to be together.’

6. Life Motto
‘Hmmm it should be easy to guess by now,’ she laughs off. I would say, ‘Live and let live, do not crib and enjoy each moment.’
