Siddhant  Gupta of  Tashan-e-Ishq  is quite excited about his ongoing  Jhalak  Dikhlaja  Ja   journey . “This is the  toughest season around but if it was not so we  might have taken things lightly. There are  stronger contenders in the form  of  Shantanu Maheshwari  and Salman Yusuff Khan.  But the format is such that you compete with your own self. it is more about your journey as a  dancer on the show.”

Talking about injuries he says, “ They  are a part of  Jhalak.  The body seems to give away after hours of  rehearsals. I have  never danced so much in my life.”

What do you feel about   Jhalak? “ Although it is a hard core dance show, yet it has to  be entertaining. So you have to be on your toes all the time.”

Coming to the judges “ Karan  Johar,  Ganesh  Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez have been encouraging  in their comments so far. They liked mine, Arjun  Bijlani and Karishma Tanna's trio  act in round one."

In closing  he  openly accepts  that it was a risk leaving a popular show  like  Tashan  for  Jhalak “But it is risk  worth taking . My being  in Mumbai following my acting dream itself was a risk  when I left a flying career to try my hands at modelling.”
