There was always speculation whether  Asmita  Sood and her  Badtameez Dil  co -star Pearl Puri were in a relationship.  Although media kept writing of their link up  the two never went beyond saying“ they were just  good friends.”  This  Star  Plus and later  Hot  Star  show unfortunately  did not last long.  But  both  Asmita and  Pearl did win the hearts of young fans especially the internet crowd.

Pearl then managed to get a Zee TV show  Meri  Saasu Maa. However  he apparently got very close to new co -star Hiba Niwab as well.  Obviously this did not go down well  with  Asmita. A source says   “Asmita was heartbroken over his two timing. He comes across  as a very sweet guy in his interviews but he is quite different in real life.” added the source. Asked as to why both never went public  the source says,“ certain things are always left better unsaid but the whole world anyway knew what was the truth.” 

When  asked about  Pearl’s  issues with  Meri   Sasu Ma co star  Anchal Khurana,  the latter first went to town saying  Pearl’s and Hiba’s  romance was affecting  work on set. The source says ,“ knowing  Pearl I am sure Anchal must not be lying.   It might have eventually played a role in his exit from the show.”

The source adds, "Asmita has since then moved on and is happy to  learnt a lesson in early in life  Never go  by appearances they can be deceptive. It has also made a her a bit about wary about relationship’s on set.”

In closing when  asked about  the online war where fans were attacking  Pearl  for whatever happened, the source says  “ fans never lie . They tell what they see. ”

GR8 tried to contact   Asmita who is vacationing aboard, she sent the following statement. " I don’t want to comment. All I  will says that that  some time  mistrust  does affect friendship's,  as it did in our case.  I  am happy now and am looking forward to lots of good work  once I am back.  Pearl and I  are not friends anymore and I don’t  want to talk about it."
