Imagine yourself in Shilpa Anand’s shoes. This  Dil Mil Gayee( DMG) girl has been out of action for a long time  and as of now there is no immediate chance of her coming back. Poor thing also tried to return to films (she had done Iqraar by Chance back in  06) but her comeback  project  is nowhere to be seen.  It has been in the works for far too long .  Her  last TV  appearance had been in early 2015, as a guest star in  Big  Magic’s  Mahisagar, nothing to crow home about.

No wonder Shilpa who also changed her name to Ohanna Shivanand hoping for better luck, now refuses to take media calls for how long will she give the same,“ I am waiting for something  interesting” line.  We also don’t know what  to say when fans  keep asking us to find to what is new  for we know the answer .

A source who did not want to be named says , “Shilpa’s acting leaves a lot to be desired.   She had auditioned for a numbers of big shows post DMG  but was found wanting.  DMG might have clicked for her character worked and sometimes you are forced to compromise on quality when the character gets popular.  But you don’t get the same leeway again and again right.  ”

Most actors associated with DMG have gone on to make a name for themselves e.g. Karan  Singh  Grover,  Karan Wahi, Jennifer Winget  and  Drasthi Dhami  etc. However all is not lost, maybe she will also get lucky like Pankit Thakkar, who is currently seen in Bahu Hamari Rajnikanth after a long wait.
