Sanaya  Irani’s  cup of woes seems to keep flowing. The actress had hoped for a major change in fortune with her upcoming Star Plus show Meenu Mausi. However, latest reports seem to indicate that the above show has been pushed back till end of this year or early next. As compared to her, best friend Drashti Dhami seems to have all the dices in her favour. For after she quit  Zee  TV show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani  for not wanting to age on screen  she quickly got Ekta Kapoor’s new show, which might go on air soon on Star Plus .   

Sanaya’s  only real claim to fame has been the ill -fated  Is  Pyaar  Ko   Kya  Naam  Doon (Star Plus), which too shut shop mid-way when her co- star Barun Sobti quit, allegedly due to ill health. She was first noticed in Miley Jab Hum Tum (Star  One) but it was never a chart buster .Since then she has tried others fiction shows. But alas  Chhanchhan (Sony) sank without a trace and  Rangrasiya (Colors) was not a big hit either. She also tried her hands at non fiction taking part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 8), where she lost out narrowly to Faisal Khan in the final. Dhrashti, on her part had won this  celebrated Colors dance reality show during her stint 

We left a  text message to  Sanaya but she did not respond. Meenu Mausi  producer Sonali Jaffer said she has no clue about the show launch .
