Rajat Tokas is the blue eyed boy of TV - Ekta Kapoor

TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor calls Rajat Tokas lead of her Star Plus show Chandra Nandni the blue eyed boy of the small screen industry.
“He is one of the most revered young actor‘s of our time. You have no idea of the kind of fans he has they are all over my Instagram.  He is also a very hardworking and a diligent artist , it is pleasure to work with him. ”
Ekta admitted that it will be a challenge  for the public to accept Rajat who had recently impressed every one with his performance as Akbar in Jodha Akbar.
“Yes he is still known as the Akbar the Great, even though it has been  a while since the hit Zee TV historical shut show. But I am positive, since the journey of both Jallaudin( Akbar) and Chandragupta Maurya was different.  The latter did not inherit an empire but rather with  the assistance of the great  Chanakya took on the mighty Nanda dynasty . Also you need to understand that in Chandra Nandni we will also show how Chandragupta’s love for Nandini came in between him and his mentor, rather than his love becoming his mentor as in Akbar. So all in all they are completely different men played by the same able actor.”
Rajat who was first noticed in Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan back in '06, was also a part of Ekta’s popular show Naagin where he played a Kabir/icchadhari nevla.
