Dont blame the channel for 'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste going off air' - Namik Paul

Namik Paul is amused that certain fans of the Sony show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, which will soon go off air, are blaming the channel for favoring their other show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. “I  can’t get this comparison, for our time slots were different, though the shows launched simultaneously on the channel. I guess sentiments of fans are hurt and they just want to lash out, which is understandable. Having said that, I dont believe in all this masala talk. Why will the channel want to discriminate between it’s 2 shows? I have no problems with the channel.”

On the show going off air he  says, “It was disappointing that the story could not be completed, but certain factors like actors (Nikita Dutta) falling ill were not in our hands.  As a result,  episodes could not be canned. ”

He is very flattered at the love and affection of his fans, many of them are wanting  a  Season2.  “But sadly life must go on.” Looking ahead he wants to do different and exciting stuff.  “It will be good for sure, big or not is a different question.”

In closing we ask him about his tiff with director Ajaz Shaikh, “The whole thing was blown out of propeortion. It was a  misunderstanding between 2 professionals, but we continued to work together.”
He refused to comment on Ajaz’s wife Sanaa Saeed ‘s tweet  that directors should be respected. “I have said what I had to  and as for others they are free to see what they have to .”
