Chandrakanta is a very bold show - Kritika Kamra

Krtika Kamra of Kitni Mohabatt Hai and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge fame seems to be a quick learner. After having burnt her hands in trying to get into  films, she is in no hurry to do it again. She is now dong the costume drama Chandrakanta on LifeOk.  “I will not do films till I get something really juicy and my TV dates match, I will not take a break from TV for films. I am happy doing TV, which  gives one lots of stability and fan following .”

Talking about her film journey, she says, “I was in talks for a few projects, but I guess the timing was wrong. There was no liquidity in the market back then, films were not being made and many people took a hit because of that. But even during that time I did not leave TV. I did Reporters and also experimented in digital space".

What makes Chandrakanta stand out? “We have broken the notion that costume dramas have to be filled with gold and gaudy costumes. Our's on the other hand are not loud, you will see lots of Greco & Egyptian influences, besides our own ethnic sensibilities. My first dress was a grey one, which is a very light and  subtle color.”

Here she added that Chandrakanta is a very bold show. "If you look at my costume and styling, it is very bold. Sadly the definition of bold in India is very wrong, it is just about wearing less clothes or kissing. Bold for me is doing unusual content.”
