I am hopeful Gurgaon will do well - Ragini Khanna

TV actor Ragini Khanna, who is awaiting the release of her dark film Gurgaon, is quite hopeful  of its success,  “ Our film is content driven, my architect character goes through a lot of layers which is challenging as an actor. ” The film also stars Akshay Oberoi, Pankaj Tripathy, Aamir Bashir.

When asked if the film has any bold scenes she says?  “ We don’t need  such stuff to titillate , we have faith in our story, sex is not needed to sell  a film, if it is juicy enough. Did Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge have any such scenes??” says Ragini, who has done popular shows like Sasural Genda Phool, Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi  Bhaskar Bharti etc.

Ragini refused to believe that her film was delayed,  “We are as per schedule, after completion we have done rounds of various film festivals, premiering at Macau”. She has also done non fiction shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4,  Star Ya Rockstar and Dil Hai Chota Sa Choti Si Asha etc

Interestingly Ragini was quite firm in getting the point out that Gurgaon is a commercial film and not any arty flick.  “As per me any film which film connects with the audiences  is mainstream.” Like other TV actors Ragini too is staying away from the small screen for better big screen options. “ For the  moment  I  prefer  films. Having said that I will never look down upon TV which has made me what I am.  For me content is king, be it in any format.”

Tell her that her first film Teen They Bhai had flopped & she fires back , “ You cannot call that my film as  I did not have more than 10 minutes of screen time. Technically this is my first Hindi film and my second movie per se . I have also done a Punjabi flick Bhaji in Problem .”
