COLORS launches two new fiction shows after Bigg Boss

Starting the New Year with a bang, COLORS, India’s leading General Entertainment Channel introduces two endearing tales - Sanskaar… Dharohar Apnon Ki and Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2 to the viewers. Set against the backdrop of families and relationships, the two shows will be seen taking over the timeslot of Bigg Boss Season 6 from January 14, 2013. Sanskaar-Dharohar Apnon Ki, a story which highlights keeping family first, will air at the 9.00 pm while the missing pieces of Megha and Mohan’s unusual story love story will unfold, Monday to Friday at 9:30 pm!

On new fiction offerings, Prashant Bhatt, Weekday programming COLORS says, “We are excited to set in motion this New Year with two new shows that come with a powerful storyline and strong characters. While Sanskaar is a heart warming story that highlights upholding family values, traditions and relationships even while adapting to the new, with Na Bole Tum…, we are welcoming the concept of Seasons for the first time on COLORS and are hoping that the viewers enjoy this double whammy that takes over from Bigg Boss.”
Sanskaar… Dharohar Apnon Ki is a tale of a small town boy Jaikishan who is away from his family to fulfill his grandfather’s dream but is yet rooted to his country and holds his dharohar (heritage) as his most prized possession in pardes. The show brings together an ensemble cast that includes veteran actors from films, theatre and television like Jay Soni, Aruna Irani, Sonali Sachdev, Rasik Dave, Avinash Mukherjee, Supriya Shukla to name a few along with Swapna Waghmare Joshi who also makes her debut as an actor with this role. Co-produced by Jitendra Thakare, Shalini Thakare and Ameya Khopkar of Cinemantra along with Sanjay Memane and Swapna Waghmare Joshi of Anahita, Sanskaar… Dharohar Apnon Ki will take the viewers on a flight of emotions and transport them to a new territory.

Back by popular demand, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2 will be filled with romance and intrigue along with an inimitable quotient of slice of life, humor and much more, all with a new spin!  Moving forward 12 years, Nanhi (now played by Jayashree Venkatarmanan) who was instrumental in bringing her mother Megha (Aakansha Singh) and Mohan (Kunal Karan Kapoor) together regrets her decision and has been brewing hatred for her once favourite Spiderman. Megha and Mohan whose love conquered all odds are today separated and distanced by circumstances. Despite this Megha is still the simple, positive Mother whose children are her hope to live rather than her own love. Mohan however has changed from a happy-go-lucky man to someone with a very cynical approach towards life and relationships. Season 2 brings back few characters like Guru (Dushyant Wagh) and Renu Bhatnagar (Rinku Karmarkar) along with Dadu, now played by Anil Rastogi.
Talking further about the show, Shalini Thakare on behalf of Cinemantra said, “We believe this story is universal and at any given point viewers will find a connect and references from their lives because of the simplicity of the story.” Adding to this Sanjay Memane and Swapna Waghmare Joshi of Anahita said, “With Sanskaar, our endeavour was to bring the Indian households an interesting story that is rooted in culture, family bonding and is authentic. We have put in the best creative talent on the show and have extended the canvas by shooting at actual locations in the US which is an integral part of the story ahead.”
Excited about Na Bole Tum Season 2, Sudhir Sharma of Sunshine Productions said, “Today, Megha and Mohan are household names because of their relatable characters and simplistic representation of the story. The new season promises to satiate the inquisitiveness that persists amongst the viewers and give a new beginning to Megha and Mohan’s uniquely unusual love story.”

Watch the lives of Jai Kishan and Nanhi unfurl starting January 14, 2013, Monday to Friday with Sanskaar..Dharohar Apnon Ki at 9.00 pm and Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha  at 9.30 pm on COLORS.
