Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on COLORS is back with a bang with a whole new season promising more entertainment, more excitement and many more surprises. Talking about surprises, fans would be delighted to know that singing sensation Shaan has been roped in as the first contestant for the latest season.

Shaan has effortlessly donned the roles of a playback singer, music director, lyricist and a television show host in the past but his latest attempt to conquer the India’s grandest dance stage is going to be no easy task. There is an interesting story behind Shaan’s decision to sport his dancing shoes. The romantic husband that he is... Shaan took this step purely to match steps with his wife, Radhika who loves to dance. He said, “My wife Radhika is a great dancer, she always kept nudging me to dance with her at outings but I preferred to stretch my vocals than my hamstrings. I therefore decided to do this for my wife, to walk with her hand in mine marching towards this great stage of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and take up this challenge. To dance with her and to dance for her”

It will be fun to see this shy and reticent singer dancing on Jhalak and also seeing this versatile singer being judged by his director-friend Karan Johar. Shaan has apparently sang many songs for Karan’s blockbuster hits including Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Kal Ho Na Ho .
