Salman Khan and Mithun Da

An actor par excellence, Mithun Da is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema.. Coupled with his mass appeal and energetic persona - he also makes the perfect choice as the host for ETV Bangla's Bigg Boss.

Talking about his association with the show and the comparison to Salman that will be bound to take place , Mithun Da said, "People think that television is the small screen but I believe that it is anything but small. I have seen a few episodes of the seasons hosted by Salman, and Salman makes a fine host. He and I are very close but for Bigg Boss' Bengali version, I will bring my own style to the table and I will set my own terms."

Salman on the other hand said, "Ki mauja, ki mauja (It means so much fun in Bengali- Just Fyi). Mithun Da is hosting the Bangla version of Bigg Boss. The makers could not have found a better host. Dada has a great sense of humor, he is both approachable and charismatic and with all his years of experience, he will be able to tackle pressure cooker situations in the house extremely well. Sources from the set tell us that Mithun Da was already in his prime element for the promo shoot and has already started ideating about the show and the way it works.

What remains to be seen however, is who will be the bigger Boss!!!
